A brush fire that appeared to have several start points was burning along the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in the Diamond Bar area, and at least one home was damaged, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to the south side of the freeway near Phillips Ranch Road about 11:45 a.m., said county fire Inspector Steve Zermeno.

According to the preliminary investigation, the fire began in "six to eight locations," Zermeno said. The fire was burning near a school and some homes.

A SuperScooper was among the firefighting aircraft dispatched to help put out the blaze.
